10-21

I decided not to post EVERYDAY for this 365 project. Let's be honest, sometimes life gets in the way and I fall behind, get busy, or just plain forget. I do always pick up my camera, but posting on facebook, instagram, or here on my blog sometimes gets pushed down on the priority list. To fix this, I will be posting every 10 days (ish). So, here are days 10-21 of the #365daysoflight project:

She will be 4 next week but I still look at her and see my baby. I always will.

This is my first attempt at trying out a new (to me) technique called freelensing - I. LOVE. IT. expect to see much more of this in the future.

I'm posting this one a day late - and I almost didn't even post this picture at all. But after the black and white conversion I see much  more light bouncing off the crib onto his face than I thought there was.

The last moments of sun spent playing with bowls and spoons on the kitchen floor. I love the light highlighting his binky and tiny curls ... proof that though this boy is growing faster than I can keep up with, he is still my baby.

Light bounces off every single surface in this kitchen. And can we just talk about the world's best Mom-Mom? Making dinner for all the crazies in the house with one on her back and one under her feet. <3

This girl of mine ... my goodness is she a goofball. This image doesn't really fit in with the "finding the light" / reflective light theme of this month but I just couldn't pass this one up!

Henry and these dang bouncy balls. He earned his nickname "puppy" because he was, and still is, always chasing them around the living room. His first word was "ball." He now calls everything ball, and even pointed at me today and said BALL! I tried to take one away from him earlier (so he could eat lunch! torture!) and he threw a fit. Every morning when we go out into the living room he goes straight for the basket of bouncy balls. I now carry bouncy balls in the diaper bag just in case. When he's older and I'm reminiscing about his baby/toddler stage, I will always remember these silly little balls and how happy they made him, and how much joy they brought him.

Best $.25 ever spent.

1/365

For my first blog post of the New Year (and ever!) I'd like to post my first image for a 365 project I am participating in. Erin Hensley, of Erin Hensley Photography, has challenged us to "Find the Light" in 2015. I will be posting a new photo every day to document my search. I am so excited to work on this project and continue to learn and grow each day!
